I set another hen tonight. She is a wyandotte bantam. Its hard to decide which eggs to ste. I finally choose the ones I have the fewest of. I figure I will wait and set the wyandotte and ee eggs later in summer or fall and try and hatch the rarer ones first. So she got some Teaches asill eggs, pyncheon eggs, mottled OE and a couple of red cochin eggs. I sold the first thirteen silkie chicks at the sale today. They brought $2.50 each, but at least I won't have to feed that many anymore! Also picked out several "turkens" that didn't have nn necks. Over all things were selling low today. It was almost like late fall or winter prices! Couldn't figure it out. Usually spring is the high price season.
