Great Donnie! Did she tell you what all different kinds she has? From the pic it looked liked several breeds. And they looked good too!Hope you get some good breeders and some good trading stock!
I went and picked up three LF roosters thisafternoon. They were free so I figured they would be trading stock! I never turn down freebies!lol
Got another broody hatching,nns, phoniex/game cross,mottled OE and a couple of not for sure yets!lol Then while I was gathering eggs I had two more hens being broody on the nest! So I'll give them a day or two and then set them.
Been haveing fun with the guniea pigs,they are about my favorite pet. I put them out in bottomless pens during the day to graze then take them back in the shed at night. Have several nice preggy ones!
Bout time for Teach to come on tell us what all he aquired at the Dodge sale this weekend.

I noticed that too okla , plus the birds were hatched so I do believe I can use them depending on type in breeding program or at least layer flock

Have you hatched any of the buttercup bantams yet Joe? Saw two pair of nice hamburg bantam pairs at the sale I went to but I couldn't keep up with the bidding! They sure do sell good! I think they are the "most sought after" breed here this year. Sure don't see many polish here tho. I can't remember the last time I saw any sell, and I've been watching to because I wouldn't mind getting some.
Got rid of all my extra LF hens this weekend so now I can save the LF turken eggs because thats all the big birds I have. They lay nice very large almost round eggs!

They may be white rock...I dont think they are leghorn though. could be wrong, who knows I am new to this game.

What about the feathered feet from atwoods?

Also, they were banded, how do you remove those?

atwoods get ther birds from IDEAL HATCHERY you can go to there web site and see what breeds they have

Michael - You wouldn't be the owners of those hens would you? I heard that the owners name was Mike. But yes that was me. And I knew several people were looking at the Blue Cochin and decided to leave one. I think they were looking for a broodyhen, so I left him the biggest. Plus they went for more than I thought they would.

Yah i had got thim from some peep down the road..I was the fat boy that hadnt shaved in a few day''s. Yah that was nice of you to let thim peep have one..
