Got another broody starting to hatch. So far a little turken and a game/phoniex cross. I am going to have several of these Law Grey hen /phoniex roo chicks. Hope someone wants them!

you say you have phoneix game crosses...well now....have Itold you about my sumo birds...I take japs corssed with phoneix then cross them with cornish! Makes for a flashy bird that is wide and short legeded...I think...haven't done it yet...still waiting on the cornish to grow-up but the game might be a better cross....so...you sure you can't make POOPS?

Looks like they had a big fire down Al's way! (Elgin)
THe turnpike was closed for awhile. It is under control and the highway has reopened.
I sent AL a Pm but have not heard back yet.

Back when cattle were cheap everything was overgrazed so about the only piece of land that would burn was the ditches.

Well it has something to do with a ring. (and not a circus ring)

I've been looking for information on Sultans and haven't found a whole lot on the difference in roo and hen. Does anyone raise them or know something about them? I have two 4 week old standard cuties ..... 5 toes, white tops beginning to fluff and white/pink skin.

PocoPollo, are those Polish Crested in your avatar? Only one has a crest. How do I sex my 8 week old PC? They are standards. The two Golden Lace that I thought might be roos, have big hairdos and barely any feathers on their backs. The one I thought was a Blonde Lace hen still has a mohawk and is fully feathered....

Congratulations on your lovely birds Junebug!!

Thank you NN for the info on the bird cycles. These girls are three years old and have been great consistant layers....first time for everything.
