Teach is the resident snake guru and Cookoo, he may be able to help, he may just want a few spiders in return.

Oh yes, I almost forgot that Teach likes to collect spiders...

Teach has snakes & may have breeder rats.

I know Teva, Les' wife has breeder rats

Wayne in TN has breeder rats & I'm sure you could talk/PM any of them & make a deal for POOPS since it is so close.

(Just in case you didn't realize or know: Les/Teva are NNbreeder - our resident chicken doctor extraordinaire! They also know tons about other stuff...like mice/rats and incubators and vehicle mechanics, etc.)

If your lettuce is already in a container just make sure you move the whole bit of earth around the roots. Al is right - lettuce doesn't really like to be moved, but if you move it without disturbing the roots too much, it may work. I have mine growing in one of those big rectangle plastic containers, and it comes back every year.

Did ya see my pic? Do you think it is too crowded with the tomato plant???

The tomato would be a lot easier to transplant and safer for your lettuce. Bury the tomato up - or over - the bottom set of leaves, water it in, and it will come back just fine.

They had a ton of them in Shawnee TSC. There was St8 run pullets that looked like BR and Leghorn, Another tub of Str8 run pullets that looked like BO & others I couldn't identify, some Cornish Rock, and the whole Tub of Black Astrolop which I almost purchased but decided to wait because I am trying to save room to get some at POOPS!

Ok just an FYI if it says st8 run that is unsexed chicks, using them both on a tag would mean they don't have a clue what they got in.

HAHA, just noticed I typed that I meant assorted pullets.

There still won't be enough room for all the lettuce that is in there.....guess I could pull of some to give the other more room....

lesson learned for next year would be that it would be better to plant a few seeds than to just throw some in there!

Thought I would post a pic since others were earlier. This is a new pic of O'brahma. Sorry you can't see his feathered legs in pic.

You could just deliver the spiders @ POOPS. I'd bet everyone would like to see his surprise.
