Sooner,
Would a tray of vegtables and dip be a good addition to the potluck? or what about a big bowl of coleslaw?? I have a good coleslaw recipe that has a vinegar dressing with a little sugar and celery seed; no mayonaise to spoil sitting out on the table. Let me know what I can do to help. I will make two styles of potato salad since I seem to be the only one that is making it and some people like mustard style and others not so much.
MJ

I like the way you think MJ in regards to the slaw not needing Mayo for convienance, I like Mustard PS LOL.
I was talking to Jack at Fletcher last night and your name came up, actually we started the conversation with you LOL. He thinks your the shizzle for helping him this winter with his birds in all that snow, and he mentioned how much fun he is having tutoring you and your Foo-Foo chicken habit. he feels as bad as you about your rooster loss, but the upcoming hatch should set you back right.

Is shizzle a good thing or bad thingAl?lol

Try this:
http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Powdery-Mildew-on-Plants

Powder mildew reacts to Pyola/Soapshield also.

Another old-fashioned trick is mixing 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 tsp liquid soap to 1 gallon of water and spraying it on your plants.

Lots of plants get powder mildew like lilac, beans, okra among them.

That's what I used last year, mixed just that way too.

Wayne : LOL it's a good thing, bad thing is I have a 16 yr old daughter so I pick up on the hip jargon LOL. Not really and it never comes out quite right when I say it LOL. she always say's Dad don't ever say that again LOL, i do anyway just to get her going LOL, I am soooo bad.

I moved my month olds back into the garage tonight (and covered up the annuals that I just planted), but I am an "ole mother hen" when it comes to my chicks and esp. since I lost 12 chicks last week.
I hope this next week will be a better week for chickens in Jack's and my neighborhood!

hmmm.... i better shift them back in, just to be safe! i'd hate to go in and have them dead!

Mine are still outside and will stay there, they told me today they were tough so I left them LOL. the condo is warm, dry, and cozy anywho.

HI Okies!

This is my first time on this thread and I'm sorry to butt in, but I'm an Okie too.

I have never been to POOPS and I'm hoping to get to come this year.

What I want to know is....

Can you bring chickens , eggs, ect.... to sell or trade ? Do your birds have to be NPIP tested?

Thanks for any info! This thread is too long to read all the way through, so thought I"d butt in and ask.
