Hauling firewood would be less smelly than hauling a load of chicks and chickens! I may need to rent a U-Haul.

True enough, but hauling fire wood in May could give you a hateful poison ivy rash, where the chicks wouldn't.

You gotta do everything! You should have seen my ride and trailer when I go down! Beverly hillbillies and got nothing on me!

I must admit that the wife does not like the idea of birds inside of her ride...she did get me a plastic table cloth thing to put down cuz she knows idon't listen well and she doesn't like to think about little animals in the cold

OMG, OMG, OMG ...... just saying those words makes me itch. I did not know I was allergic to poison ivy, until a couple years ago when I got into it. I had to go to the hospital, and I looked like a mummy when they were finished with me! AWFUL experience!

I will haul chickens ..... forget the firewood!

The Beverly Hillbillies are great! I think that show was about my family, actually. I emulate them ...... just wait, you'll see.

I feel sorry for folks that have issues with it...so far in my encounters with I have never noticed it. In fact (I realize I am about to jinx myself) this summer I took part in a teacher thing and we were all down at a creek doing stuff and there was some poison ivy and I was pretty much standing in it because there wasn't enough room and yeah...folks were freaking and such...I shrugged and never had an issue...

Wash with lye soap when you are exposed to poison ivy and it will help remove the oils that cause the rash. Also, I still use Grandma's remedy of 1 TB Chlorox to 1 cup water and dab it on the rash - helps dry it up.

So, is it still snowing and how much accumulation did you get? I thought it was supposed to just be cold and windy in your part of the state but no snow.

Thanks for the input on the wild birds in the barn. I think you (who suggested they're seeking a warm place to survive the coming storm) are absolutely right. More birds flew in and hid in the rafters today. It sounds like an aviary in there. I think the first batch must have been scouts. I tossed more bird seed in the frozen bird bath and wild bird feeders. I felt like the proprietress of an outdoor cafeteria watching so many different groups of birds today.
