I went by the seed store today and bought vegetable seeds. I think I want to plant a row about 100 feet long in turnips. We like them and the chickens love them. The first year I grew them, I didn't think too much about a few hens that grazed in the garden - until I went to pull the turnips and most had large holes in the tops of them, where the chickens had been feasting beneath the leaves.

Kassaundra - how is your "sprouts" project going? I don't recall what kind of seeds you were sprouting for the chickens or where you got them.
