Glad you are OK. Kind of messes up your whole day when something like that happens.

Hi Betsy, thanks! As for the Guy Rose Auction, they have cages there and if you get there early you get a better choice of cages and in line sooner. Or you can bring cages and set them on the ground in rows to be auctioned from and sell cages if you want also or not. They have a nice small auction, there is usually a concession stand set up and they have bathrooms, There is usually two auctioneers going at once, one for Junk and one for Poultry if there is enough to have two auctioneers going. A warm Saturday is your best bet for attendance. Poultry sale starts at 9am!!! Lynn

More POOPS Questions: 1. Since there isn't a for-profit auction this time, what's the best way to let folks know what you plan to bring to sell? I was thinkng about putting a list with photos on my "My Page" here on BYC and adding a link to my signatur line. Is that okay?

2. Will folks who bring birds to sell set them up inside the barn or outside under the big covered area.... or, do we need to bring pop-up canopies and set up on the grass outside the big covered area?

3. Since so many folks are now NPIP tested, they can't bring untested birds into their flocks, so will there be someone there who can test birds purchased at POOPS? If so, what would be the cost per bird so that the tester is fairly compensated?

4. Parking may become confusing when hundreds and hundreds of poultry enthusiasts show up. Should people pull through, drop off birds, and then go park? Or, will there be lots of strapping young men to carry cages in for the ladies? Does anyone have a simple map of the parking area, drop off area, and one-way areas to post for those of us who are spacially challenged?

I am strapping but tend to be more of an eye candy kind of thing...but my boys love it when I volunteer them to tote stuff!

maybe we should get some testing supplies...heck...I need some cuz I never did get any...now where is that number...Dept. Ag Ok...looks like it...

Hey everybody!
Long time no post!! Been missing everyone terribly but lately I have been busier then a one legged man in a butt kicking contest.

Couple of questions; first off has a time, date and place been choosen for POOPS? Is there anything I can help with?? Lastly what is everyone planning on bringing so I know how much money to bring. Just to let everyone know, I am taking orders for custom brooders if anyone is interested. Let me know number of chicks you want it to hold and for how long I can let you know dimensions and price, as well as send a few pics. With things being so hectic I only have time to build a few of them this year.

I am really excited about POOPS and look forward to seeing all my BYC friends and make some new ones too.

I need to ask a favor if anyone is able to help. Both my car and truck are broke down. My brother-in-law is going to come down this weekend to get the truck fixed. My car is at the mechanics (with a blown head gasket). The shop where I had the engine rebuilt less then two years ago has agreed to fix the car for the price of parts. What I need help with is getting my car towed from Norman to west OKC. Sorry to ask but, well things have been pretty tight lately.

Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week.

Super cool! I just checked the date for our gathering & my school schedule; my final exams are the tuesday before!

Btw, I can aid in testing birds for folk. I'm a certified tester.

just need to get some of those vs-9 forms. I already have a vial of antigen and a method of keeping it cool.

I'll figure up a charge, it won't be too much though.
