Gerald and I are going to the Guy Rose Auction Saturday morning. We are meeting doubleostud there to buy some of his goats.

We still intend to go to the Blanchard auction to visit with lots of BYC Okies. We took a pickup load of birds to Blanchard auction this evening ... wyandottes, marans, spitzhauben, and turkeys: Bourbon Red, Narragansett, and Royal Palm. Oh, and we'll take our usual hatching eggs there tomorrow.

Renia and Maribeth, I saw some Madagascar Game hens? at the Blanchard auction. Well, they looked like turkens to me, but they said they're Madagascar. Speaking of that, I bought some Madagascar Game pullet chicks a few weeks ago

Are you bringing any narragansett hens or just toms? I saw a Blue Mottled madagascar hen, if it had not been naked neck I so would have bought her, almost did anyway....

the whole point behind the Madagascars is that the Naked Necks apparently originated from them.

Where did you see the hen? I have two Madagascar hens with a blue NN roo and can hardly wait for them to begin laying eggs.

a friend of mine had them, he got them from another friend cause he lost his roo and didnt want just two hens, the other was just blue. I would have to see a madagascar roo, have a hard time seeing a NN as a game bird.
