Why do you think you all scared me? Remember I met my husband in a Sailor bar! I wasn't planning on keeping him but he tricked me and 15 years later we go to poultry auctions for entertainment. I think I hurt his feelings when he heard me say that having chickens is the best fun I've had in a long time!

Having chickens is the best fun Ive had in a long time, and I dont think i hurt Carl's feelings. He knows after 14 years you have to find something new to entertain yourself...LOL

I dont think we scared you, you just might think we a little weird...LOL

Edited because i cant spell

I'm an artist! - weird feels normal to me -

I could drink alot of tequilla then too - is that ok to say on BYC?
Chickens are a much more useful bad habit; they give you breakfast not a headache.

Just put 38 cochin eggs in Jack's new incubator (boy is he having fun with that new toy),
6 partridge, 32 mille fleur. The last hatch was 9 for 9, all milles. If this hatch is close to that rate I am in trouble.

I am already hatching....LOL

I dont have any golden laced yet, just got the birds not that long ago and they are still adjusting. I will be starting BLR Wyandottes and Columbian wyandottes very soon As for the partridge cochins, I have, I think, 4 young pullets left but sold my partridge this evening. But its ok, it was a fellow BYCer that bought them, and we have another BYCer that has the same blood line as me, and yet another BYCer that gave us our start and probably has the origianl parent stock. Also another BYCer that lives in Jones has some of my babies(dont know how old they are now, so they might have some partridge cochins to hatch soon.

Looks like there are at least four BYCers with Partridge Cochins....that's cool!! I'm interested in getting some.
Would really like to get some BLR and Columbian Wyandottes when available and love to get a start of the Golden Lace Cochins too some day. Chickens are so addicting....

Not a spring-like day at all here. Hoping for some rain this week and next weekend is supposed to be high 70's. Isn't it ever 72 degrees in Oklahoma for more that a few minutes on it's way up or down?
