m.ruzycki :

Thanks guys. She is a new layer and this is the first time so Im not too worried but i will mix some oyster shell in with her feed.

I have several hens that this is their first laying season, and i have gotten several soft shells...

m.rusycki - did you get some of that wheat that was being so cheaply on Craigslist in Alex? I thought about it but decided it was too far to go without a better idea if it was more than dust and weavils.

no school for kids tomorrow due to parent teacher conferences, think we might clean the hen house, mow or go to the movies or all the above! Just depends on what time they wake up. Wish the weather was nicer.

I will be setting 6 flats of eggs in the morning, 36 eggs to the flat so guess the hen are very happy turkeys.
I have decided that the health issue are just going to be there, so I might as well learn to live with it. There fair days and not so fair so why worry about it.
But I plan on coming to POOP where ever it is. Course around here Don always adds, if she not headed to the hospital, in it or just out of it, we be there.
