My 13 yo is a hunter and tans his own hides. He's thinking about tackling taxidermy, too, but hasn't taken that leap.... yet.

We've got a hen, rooster, cats, dogs, ducks, frogs and turtles in the house, had them for years. They dont eat, poop, meow, run or even move. cat and ducks are made of iron, chickens and dog is porcelain, turtles is various materials, DML collected all sorts of turtles. brass, iron, wood, etc. The frog takes 2 AA's and will 'rivet', if somebody walks too close to it. been so long since batteries has been in it, dont know if it still works.

My oldest boy is talkin' about learing how to mount stuff. Several friends do it as a hobby so he is gonna hang out and watch...we might get him some birds to practice on...​
