If you won't/can't rest (which is best) at least stay WELL hydrated, w/ that temp and your body fighting the infection you are much higher risk of dehydration!

I just don't know what else i can do, things still need tending to and someones gotta get to them, and that someone is me. Laura & Alyssa are too sick and need caring after, at least I can get around a little and make them comfortable. I made some soup for them and I think I'll have me some in a bit, after I get the 30 new 2 wk old's in the outdoor brooder cause I got 90 hatching on Sunday.

Put off what you can, concentrate your energy on the "musts" rest where and when you can even catching little cat naps may help, and like I said before keep hydrated, drink more water and gatorade then you think you need. Some OTC meds may mask some of the symptoms and at least make you feel a little better.

evening guys- just had to thank Gary and Kassaundra and P&B and Gotgame- that is one awesome NN- she reminds me of a guinea/chicken cross- and has a wonderful feisty attitude- anyway- here are a few shots- she is so tiny, half the size of my banty cochins, so will probably put her in with the broody girls

worked on pens some this afternoon- til i twisted my ankle, so it is the size of a grapefruit with pink vetwrap on it! boy are the chickens curious about that! hey Poco- is it still on for tomorow??

We are home after many hours in pre-op. Roger's surgery has been postponed.
At a trauma hospital, serious trauma cases bump "elective procedures". Shortly after we arrived at 1:15pm, a case came in that took many hours longer than anticipated. Roger was scheduled for 3:15 and at 6 pm they let us know that surgery would be Tuesday morning at 6 am.
We can only pray the trauma victim is okay. We have no problem waiting for a rested doctor on Tuesday instead of a very tired one tonight.

Thanks for the prayers...we know they will keep until Tuesday also.
