Morning,
My husband works at Tinker and they told them not to come in untill 3:30. That is after his shift. He is still asleep. I get up the same time every day. Even if I can sleep in my internal clock won't let me.

Good morning Okies, it is so cold out here that we had to set the dogs out to go potty and they were right back in, I got up a 3:45am and looked out, called my boss and told him I wanted a vacation day today and maybe tomorrow!!! I didn't even turn on the computer! Went back to bed, wife's alarm woke me at 6:30am got up, having coffee, just caught up reading from last night, wife called in to work, she is getting ready to go out and check the critters, (see Monty, you should have married a redhead!!!! LOL, no really she loves me!!!) She does the morning chores and Dakota and i do the evening chores, Heather is up as usual at the crack of dawn, wanting to go play in the snow!!! Silly kid, you would look like a snowman if you stopped in one spot very long!!! Silly girls!!! No school; today and as usual also, Dakota is still in bed, I have to say he did get up at 6am and then go back to bed!!!! He is a sleepy headed 15 year old!!! The wind is howling here, maybe I should loan Jessie my coveralls!!!! Please be careful out today yall!!!! Well I guess I should go help Jessie!!!! I love her too!!! Lynn

I couldn't get on line after 10:00 last night and this morning. I had to reboot the modem? Don't know what happened, maybe the lighting? Any how I'm just glad it is working now. I'd be a little crazy if I was stuck in this without BYC! I've got a good book, Homework to grade, laundry to fold and more but......

The ground is totally covered here. Still sleeting like crazy and the wind is howling.
On the 10 pm weather they moved us to the 12 to 18 inches of snow zone.

Let us know how you like that upgrade.

Still too dark to see much in this photo of my setup from 6:30 this morning. I went out and shoveled a path from my back door to my garage door, will try to keep doing that every couple of hours. I tramped out and broke open a bale of straw in the chicken run on top of the snow. I have all my waterers up on bricks - about 8" off the ground, and the snow was already over the lip of the waterers. I know this bale will soon be covered with snow and the hens will most likely stay in the coop all day. Oh well, they have unfrozen water in their coop and plenty of food, so they'll be okay.

I hope you didn't go to work Charley - or if you did I hope you made it there safely - so many people are stuck out there on the roads so that even those with snow-worthy vehicles can't get around them.

Stay safe and warm everybody.

Good morning Beth,

I agree with Carah, that's a pretty nice setup you have there. Is that the coop that Jack built? Aside from that, how are you doing on this cold and frosty morning? I haven't seen or chatted with you in forever. I'll try to stay in closer contact with all my friends from now on.
