I haven't got to tilling the garden either. DH & I don't agree on the planting of the garden so I have planted some on my own stuff in large planters. I did some leaf lettuce around a tomoato plant in a large squar wash tube & some pepper plants in another large pot. We'll see how it works out. Last year I had a hard time keeping my chickens out of them.

ETA: Fix all the grammer errors & spelling. Need more coffee.

. Restricting feed on a Cornish X is tricky business and most folks just can't do it because they think it's cruel but it is the only way. I lost one 2 day's ago, she was 2 1/2 yrs old and almost 18lbs and had been laying well but had recently stopped, I knew I was going to lose her when her comb went purple and her breathing became labored. I managed her wieght for all that time and she gave me plenty of fertile egg's for my projects, so her time was at hand. She dressed out at almost 15 lbs and when I knew she had seen her last minutes I processed her to honor her gift's to me and her great life.

thanks Al, i really am not positive she is as her legs aren't as think as i have seen in photos- but the problem i see in restricting food, is i would have to keep her separate from the others, which opens a nother bucket of worms.... so do you have pics of your cornish x at her age? what do you think? lets see.... they live 3 months- i may bring her to poops if it is obvious what she is

These are about to go in the AL-A-Bator in a few minutes, I better buy more feed and get more pen's built LOL.
