Does anyone know whether the "magical cats" that can turn up anywhere, made it to Cement?

Any report on the Newcastle auction?

Okla-doodle-do, that is some auction you get to attend. Looks wonderful and it is probably a good thing that both your auction and Chupps are too far away for me to attend. Poultry and junk at the same auction ~ life doesn't get much better than that.

. We didnt manage to hatch anything last year, due to several reasons...had a few hatch under a couple broodies, but these are the first that we have managed to incubate ourselves

. Feel kind of foolish but excited

Looks like everyone had a productive day, love the pics of the Amish sale Okla. I'm still limited as to what I can do so most of what I need to do I can't, Dr's. orders. Did go buy feed and went to Newcastle auction. They didn't have anything I needed so just chatted with people.

Anyone interested in some bantam mottled cochins I've two pair, not the best mottling but pretty birds 9-10 months old.

P&B one of these days I am going to have to go and watch the junk sell! There is so much stuff that there are bound to be bargains! One guy had a booth where he sold leather goods and tanned hides! Had deer, cow, goat, rabbit, and even a buffalo. One had homemade cheese, one had home made maple syrup, one had Amish jams and relishes etc. Lots of nick-nat stuff. Just to much to see. I left at 130,they had started selling poultry at 9:30,two auctioneers and they weren't half thru! Its a good thing I never have a lot of money when these sales roll around!I saw dozens of things I thought I really needed(wanted)!
It was a beautiful day for the sale. In the high 60s and sunny. Prettiest day of the week. I came home and moved birds and switched pens and finally got everyone housed. Tomorrow I go trade/sell some pigeons. I got two more hens set tonight. A friend gave me two eggs at the sale he got out of cages! one a bantam one standard, both spangled hamburgs,so I set them to.Proably will get a roo of each!lol. I have seven bantambators going now!
Hey Bear we had pizza tonight too! Too tired and lazy to cook!

Thats cheap I'm jealous we don't have any sales like that around here. People are always afraid of permits and things when most times they are cheap (if not free) and easy to obtain. My texas gamebird breeder license only costs $27 a year and allows me 1000 gamebirds at a time waterfowl included. You should bring me one of those wagons to poops they are proud of them here and I'm in need of a chuck wagon, well I want one (thats the same as need). A pair od mute swans here goes for about 800-1000 there was a male alone for sale on craigslist for $300 I hope my geese can hatch some, got 6 under the geese and 3 in the bator.

Doc they sure were pretty! I can just imagine them on the water. I just couldn't get over how big they are.
I am wanting to get me a mini cart or buggy and a mini donkey or horse for itnow. They are so cute looking all harnessed up. They have all kinds of wagons at the sale. They really aren't as expensive as I figured.
Are the swan eggs much bigger than the goose eggs?

well, our puppy passed his first poultry test with flying colors

. Put him in a big pen with an OE rooster, watched for about 5 minutes, he just wandered around, stopped to sniff at the rooster (I had already shown him a bird while I held it, he just licked its leg), who bowed up but the pup just walked off...I went inside and came back out about 10 mins later, and the pup was curled up in the sun, relaxing and the rooster was not far off, sprawled out in the sun too, lol....not bad for a 3 month old pup
