Evening all : I had an absolutely great day................ got the chance to go out to Cement and visit with Gerald Blakely, our Charley from Tulsa and another Cornish guy from Comanche name a Larry Elliot. Gerald has a very nice set-up out there and has his breeders set-up in such a way that it has me re thinking a few idea's. We visited over many a cornish pen and I brought some birds and Charley brought some birds and Larry brought some birds it was really great. I learned a very quick and easy way to AI and by the end of the day I had it down, now I feel good about being able to use the hulk once again in his twilight years. We poured over publications, pictures and SOP's dropped a number of names and made some adjustments to our breeding programs. All in all a wonderful day.

Your going to make me mad with Dark Brahmas, been looking for a roo for months, there was a pair at Blanchard last nite but not very good quality so I past on them.

Just purchased a Reptipro bator for under $90 guess I 'll see if they are any good.

Gotgame they have Old English bantams in golden and silver campine colors now. That is bacsicly the same color as the fayoumis. That way you could still stay in bantams! I have been watching for some fayoumis too. Actually found a roo and then sold him because I didn't figure I would ever find hens for him. Wrong! the next day hens were for sale on craigslist in the next ton over! I was so mad at myself!lol

Lol, I have done the same thing...I am wanting fayoumi for their near feral attitude, and them being bigger may stand against varmints a little better...its not the color I am wanting, its the traits for free ranging...
