Surely they are done if they started that long ago wouldn't you think? Sounds like that momma is going to be a good protecter of her babys! Hope she lest you tame them down when they get older!lol I have never delt with cats haveing kittens before. Thet are about the only little critters I haven't raised babys from!lol What color was the daddy?

Okay. After Teach posted those snake pictures, I'm noticing a huge drop in egg production in my flock of 25 hens.

I have been getting a dozen eggs since we turned off the heat lamps. BUT yesterday there was only one egg and today there were none.
Could all the veggies from the freezer cause a drop in egg production since it was a change in diet? I gave no treats.

Either I have a snake or a big problem with my layers.

Any thoughts
