Hey fellow okies. I know yall heard about the devasting tornado that hit Atoka and flattened the town of Tushka. My daughter went to school at Tushka. Some of our friends, families, our church families and our teachers have lost their homes, vehicles and school. It is so devastating! If God leads you to helping in the effort to clean up or donate food, tolietries, clothing, money or anything, there is a red cross set up at the Atoka First Baptist Church. The area churches are helping out too and you could contact any one of them to see how you can help. Oklahoma is such a great state and we all stick together. So I just wanted to invite any that want to help fellow okies to please reach out!

Bought and set some Black Leghorn and Kelso game today/last night. Bought them at the Muskogee Auction. I'm excited about seeing how they hatch. Also will be setting some Xbred Ducks, Javan, Sumatra, Olive egger and ?? eggs

tonight.

And I found a nice Roo for my lonely Light Brahmas at Muskogee so I'll try and get a run up for them tomorrow so I can start breeding them....have to wait a few weeks though since they were running with a Cochin Roo

. And a quad of Rouens.....though I really just wanted maybe a pr, lol, but I think they're pretty young and may not be laying yet.

Anyone sell at Muskogee? I sold about 40 birds (largely chicks) and only bought 5 and 2 doz eggs...pretty good self control for me, LOL.

what surprised me was this hen is just barely laying, and she ran the dog down! i picked her up and she had fire in her eyes....hmmmm could she maybe be thinking broody time??? i've never had one, so don't know the signs- the silly dog is always just meandering around ignoring the chickens
