What kind of snake?
He's a baby ball python. He was a hatchling last Summer when my DH bought him for my birthday. He doesn't like snakes, but he knew that I have always wanted one. My parents would never allow one and I just haven't ever got one on my own. He's escaped his cage a few times, but the longest disappearance was for 3 days. We ended up finding him in the drawer under the entertainment center. Well DH found him when he went to get a game out. LOL We've been offering him food whenever we noticed him being active since he quit eating. He's gone through 2 sheds since the last time he ate. We built him a new cage last weekend and I'm guessing that he is enjoying it. He has been active a lot lately. We had him out this evening and he was really active slithering all over me and DH, so we decided to try it again. It took him less than 10 seconds to attack. I was relieved to say the least.
Are you feeding him mice? That's one of their favorites. I think they like the chase as much as the meal. Sounds like he's coming along just fine. Glad to hear it.

Several months??? the snake was loose for several months? My hotel bill would have been really expensive.
CayuseRanch - LOL - snakes are really kinda neat pets to have. When my daughter first got hers I was a little reluctant about it. I'd always been afraid of snakes, but this one changed my mind somewhat. He got out several times, and it's amazing where they can hide. You find them in the most unusual places sometimes.
