Didn't work in the garden. I thought if I turned any compost in, the dirt and compost would be in Kansas!!
Took Thor out of ICU where he has been since Studley beat him up. I had used wound powder on his head and it dried the scalp too much...enough that his eyebrows were drawn up and his good eye lids drawn up so high that half of his eye was hidden. He could still blink, but I pulled out the black salve and neosporin and slathered that all over his head and comb after washing his head. His line of vision is improving in his right eye, but it looks like his left eye is cloudy... and he is not responding to stimulus with that eye. Looks like Studley did a real number on Thor.
Hand fed and watered him and then put him in a pen on grass so he could "graze" and stretch his legs and wings. He is in a "step-down room now...an airconditioner cardboard box decorated with pen-up of pretty hens. Gracie (the Australian Shepherd) decided that Thor was her charge today and she would not let anyone closer than 10 feet of him...dog or human. When I picked him up to put him in the box, Gracie was right there, head under my arm to make sure he was okay. Funny how dogs know another animal is under the weather.
Had to brush 40 knots out of my hair before sitting down...and that was with a hat on all day. ...the winds are still hefty!
