I had fun yesterday! Caught me a little rattler here at school! then went and got some pigeons for a friend that is rehabilitating an owl. Moved birds around....yelled at kids cuz they are blind still...

Good morning! All the chickens are fed/watered and settled for the day. Have about a dozen 4mo old pullets and a 6mo old NN rooster that I'll be taking to Kellyville. Also have a barred cochin chick (abot a month old) that is male and he's in the brooder with his two "sisters" that are by the sumatran rooster - those two have ATTITUDE to the max, while the cochin just can't quite understand what all the fuss is about - they are a source of never-ending amusement!

Have a broody hen setting a nest of about a dozen eggs - all a variety because I have no idea who all laid eggs in there - soem are blue-green, some brown and some white - ought to be an interesting hatch in a week or so

My son caught a ride to work with me today because he didn't want to use "his" gas driving all the way to Tulsa

So he's going to use MY gas to drive up to the auto parts store that has the stuff he needs for the '73 Super Beetle he's rebuilding. Of course that means that I'll probably end up taking him out to lunch. It's a good thing I love that kid

we have a half dozen or so modern game bantam babies, red pyles adn bb reds about 3 weeks old that we are gonna be parting with, if anyone is interested i can bring them to marys flea market or to poops but not gonna bring them unless I know they are sold...
