I had forgotten about the Czech festival in Prague this weekend - always the 1st Saturday in May. I had kolaches from Prague many years ago and was surprised to taste the difference between those and the ones available in the town of West, Texas. The ones from West seem much sweeter than the ones I have had from Oklahoma.
I know i like the the texas ones better. i had some from someone that used to live in texas. they were good

He already doesnt like my chickens, so I can just see his face if I told him I was going to get two hens to replace the one. I buy chickens when he is off on the road working, then I just tell him on the phone and hurry up and hang up.

So one of the grandsons spent the night with us while his folks are back in Okla. He sleeps till 9 am and I keep quiet and when he gets up we are sitting visiting and he says" So is this what you do all day,sit around the house and watch tv?"
Now the hosue ain't spotless but its very clean and orderly,the laundry is all done,beds are made,dishes washed,floors vaccumned.The yard looks like a manicured park,with multitude of flower beds and shurbbery neatyly trimmed,and the grass mowed. A multitude of critters are well penned,fed and watered several times a day.I do the shopping,cooking run all errands and I'm on three pain killers a day and disability! Who does he think does all this! Now I remember why he isn't my favorite grandson!
Okay sorry for the rant,just be sure and let someone know how much you appreciate them today. They proably would love to hear it!

Yep some kids now days dont understand that the day starts before 9 oclock and it also goes all well past dark in most cases. People should have chores when they are young so they know how to do them when they are grown up..... i sound like my grandpa, im getting old
