oklahoma chickenstock-- SUCCESS!!!AWESOME!!!THANKS TO ALL!!

well that would be great but I kinda had to work close to home as I couldn't get out to go look at different places, and I have already but my bid in on the barn in poteau. But I think maybe next year if someone doesn't want to do the honors of planning the stock I will try to move it a little closer to the middle of the state. We will just have to wait and see. But thats a good thing to keep in mind next year.

still working on the t shirt designs.Sorry its taking so long had a busy work schedule and a little girls b day to do.will have the design asap.was thinking of like having two or three so theres more choices.

Ok go time folks, I now have the barn reserved so lets set a time say, for booths and venders can start arriving at about 6:00 am. The barn can open at 7:30, to everyone and we can start cooping in at that time I will need volunteers to help me with all of this. Lets set the time for judging at 12:00 noon. We will need a judge, if anyone knows someone. The county requires that we have the pull-typhiod tests so make sure you get that done, we will need papers and band #s. and thats going to be for all fowl showing and being sold.
For the costume contest we can start at 12:30, so that gives the main show a chance to be judged, then we will have the uglyest chicken contest 30 to 45 mins following that.
If the Main Show judging is finished before 2:30 we will award ribbions at 3:00pm.
Then we will have the other vairous activities throughout the day.
If you want to volunteer to help please PM me with your name and a phone # I can reach you at.
For people who may be traveling a ways, if you plan to come in the night before we will try to see if area hotels might offer a discounted rate for a group type thing.

Those of you wanting to be in the main show or any contests or wanting to sell I will need your name, address and how many chickens your bringing to show, contests, and/or sell.

If you want to donate anything for raffles please let me know, most everything that i will be raffling, the funds will be going to pay for the barn, and any hidden costs, and any moneys left over will be split between the Main Show winner and the local 4-H clubs, as I am not only doing this for us chicken hobbiests, but also to encourage the future of poultry in the 4-H and in general, and to encourage the younger generations to get involved with chickens.

We will have to have a show entery fee of say, $3.00 per entery, for the main show and for the contests $1.00. for sponsers booth set up is free for any venders i am asking a $5.00 fee unless you will be donating something either for the raffles or toward the 4-H or for the barn rental. I encourage eveyone to get involved and just have a great time.

I look forward to seeing and meeting everyone. For the BYC members I will have a guest book for us to sign to see how many BYCers came to join.
look forward to hearing ideas form all of you.

After the t shirt design gets made someone should make a flyer. I could post it at school and the farmer's market. Hopefully by June I could go down there and get some chickies...
