Oklahoma Ice Storm *pics*

This is what I'm use to in the winter. I've been transplanted in Texas, but I'm originally from FL. I've only been in Texas for 2 years, this is my second winter. Last year was miserable for me, and this year isn't too bad, but I'm watching the weather channel constantly and luckily I'm south enough to miss the ice. I can't imagine living though the ice storm that you show in your pictures. The pics are kind of neat, but very gray and dreary to me. My thoughts and prayers go out to those families struggling though this bad winter. And to think, winter doesn't officially start for another week!!!!

Yay! Hope he and his flock are doing well!

I can't imagine living anywhere other than Oklahoma. I've even moved back home to the house I was born and raised in *haha*

Okie, are you ready for the snow storm? I had to staple cord to the boards of my chicken pen, then tent-stake it to the ground, AND put concrete blocks on top of the tent stakes. Hopefully it will hold until I can get some t-posts up.

And I hope we get SNOW!

P.S. Yesterday we were putting fence up on some lease land. We had to finish tearing down a chicken coop that mother nature had already had a turn at. I found a 10 hole and a 6 hole nest box! The 6 is pretty smashed, but the 10 looks great! It was an exciting find.

Thanks for keeping us all posted and for sharing your pictures. What a darling granbaby! I feel better getting news from the people actually living out there. The news on tv is so dramatic. They only show the worst of the worst and it is so stressful. I am glad you are okay.

aw....the generator will not hook up to Buckguys well house or heater..........

so they are back at hotel ..........he says hello and thanks for all the prayer and concern..........he is going to try and hook up the puter at his home later today.........

Just checking in to see how everyone is fairing popcycle land. Hang in there!

I think just snow is headed our way tonight after midnight........maybe 2 - 4 inches........we'll see. So far we have been lucky to miss the ice, but we have been a wet mess. It's really cold here today.

Okie, Your little Emma is precious. Thanks for sharing. I need to resize all my pic so I can share to.

Buckguy, glad you and family are safe. Hope you get your electricity on very soon. Hang in there and stay warm.

My thoughts go out to all dealing with this. Did everyone else get their electricity on? Hope so.

Morning Smitty........hope you only get snow....I expect a few inches tonight so I will be off and running today trying to pull down the branches that fell partway....... gotta lay some more hay out in coop....all are fairing well out there.I do think your flock will be fine where you are! Stay warm...... will let you know what I hear from Monty as soon as he gets in touch with me !
