So the barn was built in the late 1800's from what information we can gather. The original house on the property burned down around 1927 or 1928 and the "new" house that we renovated was built in 1929. It's really cool that someone wrote the date in some concrete along with their initials.

Wow. I just found this thread. It looks great! I'm so impressed by people who can look at a building the appears to be on it's last legs and think 'I could fix that' and then make it beautiful as well. Simply awesome.

Sorry about that. I couldn't resist. The others keep mentioning this thing they call "chicken math". I'm not quite sure how it goes, but I'm guessing I'll find out. lol

Anyway, the homestead is just awesome. The barn turned out great and the home is absolutely beautiful. Good Job.

Thanks to your daughter for her service. My son was also in Iraq, but is home safe.
