Suggestion: mix one bag of gamebird starter and one bag of regular chick starter. 27+20 -47/2-23.5%

Or two bags of chick starter plus one bag of 27% gamebird...that would put you at 22.3% protien.

The only Gamebird starter around these parts is 27%. Regular Chick Starter (these parts) is 20%.

I usually use Nutrena all flock. but my source stopped carrying it. I bought a bag of 22% Nutrena game bird and a bag of 16% Nutrena and mixed them. Ingrediants where the same just different amounts. I do hope I can find the all flock again as mixing was a hassle

Sorry to butt in, but I do love mixing the Nutrena feeds, whether it be pellets or crumbles, I have found that a mix is better than feeding just one type.

I have a variety of breeds and they seem to thrive better with a mixture.

Does anyone manufacture a small mixing machine that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Or has anyone McGivered one from from scrap parts and a lawnmower engine that can mix 2 to 4 bags of feed? It is hard to find anyone that dose custom mixing anymore.

very nice . I can not wait to se pictures of these when they are older. especially the 1st one.

I use a concrete mixer, got it at Orchelins for $300.00 I think. It works great for small batches.
