It's been a sad couple of weeks for me. Last week, my 16 year old muscovy, runner duck cross, Star died. She was the last baby from my first duck, Chuckie the Duckie and her hubby Kramer. Chuckie used to come when called for frozen peas, she just loved them. Star wasn't ever very friendly, but she was always hanging around, keeping an eye on things. This last year she spent in the dog yard with my neurologically impared call duck because she had a hard time getting around. I miss her hissing at me when I looked at her too long. Today, one of my 14 year old runners, Suzanne died. She prolapsed and didn't make it. She used to do a little duckie dance when it was feeding time, right in front of me so I wouldn't miss it, and chase me around chattering until she was fed. RIP girls.
