not sure what they are called, thought she was a serma at first.
anyways, i rescued this little one, she couldn't keep up with her crazy mom and was freezing. now she is fully feathered, but still in a rabbit cage in the house as she is still too small to go outside(i take her outside with me when i have time so she can run around and search for bugs without worring about the neighbor cats or birds.
My silkie eggs started to hatch a day or so ago and finally today i opened up the bator to see what i got.
Two i wanted to keep and decided to see if this girl will accept them in her cage(she is in the same room as the bator) well she stood up for a minute to figure out what they were and then laid down like a pancake and started talking to them. they instantly seen her and managed to fit half way under her.
I added a light just in case she couldnt give them enough heat and they seem well. she seems content right now.
has this happened to anyone else? i think its so cute. she might be staying after all
