Old English bantams?

the thing i like about old english is they come in beautiful colors, even some of the hens are pretty, and they are small,,,

Yeh, they are creles. A beautiful color. A guess he is a spangled. I need to find some more pictures of spangled to compare. It is a very interesting color.

I have brown red oegb and they are so calm and friendly.
The adult pair I got when they were about 3 months so didn't handle them alot, but they'll come up to you and move when you try to touch them,,,,, they do not object to being handled.

Here's a few pics of mine,

Enough for now. I will post more later if you want to see them.

I have both modern game bantams and a pair of silver duckwing OEGB.

The modern games have the long legs, are very friendly and love to be handled and talked to. They are very curious and just fun birds. We have the brown-reds and the birchens. The hens are very talkative. I am still waiting for them to lay, but I have heard they are good brooders.

The silver duckwings are very friendly, also, but the rooster is a little highstrung, but he also likes to be handled. My hen just started laying, a couple of weeks ago, and so far hasn't gone broody.
The OEGB have shorter legs and carry their tails higher than the modern games, who have short tails.

You will really enjoy them if you get them. They fit in your hands and are easy to carry around because they are so light.

Have fun!!

Our Favorites! We have had OEGBs for about 15 years. They are the most gentle, self-sufficient, disease resistent chickens we have ever owned. Ours go broody all the time, but they lay a ton of eggs too. Even in the winter here in MN, I am still get 10 eggs/day on average out of 18 hens.
