They are sooo cute BarnGoddess01, I love them!! You take awesome pics, are you a professional photographer?

X2 Awesome pics! My birds are camera shy and my RIR roo has decided the camera is an evil device and attempts to defend the flock from it... Dumb male!!

Thank you! My poor birds are face to face with a camera even before they make it out of the egg. I don't think they even notice it!!

Guess what… I have a broody hen! My Easter Egger hen (Lacy) is broody now, I don’t need a broody or want one so I’m going to break her as best I can, but I just had to tell someone. I’m so happy; this is just my second broody hen I have had in my six yrs of keeping chickens!
Here is a pic of her

Thanks all for the replies and help again. The fertile eggs arrived this morning and they are resting pointy side down. Yay! My DD and I went out and fixed Miss Mona her own digs within the coop today. Used the large dog kennel and lined the edges with cardboard. Great tip, thanks! I used a box for the nest, easy for chicks to leave when it's time and good viewing possibilities for DD and myself. That's important too. Hee hee. We completed it none too soon. Poor baby was just getting tormented in the old nest. We saw her get pecked out once and then when she was allowed back in TWO other girls decided it looked comfy so they both climbed in with her at the SAME TIME! My nest boxes are only about 15 inches wide. Sheez! I'd have scrambled eggs with that nonsense.
So she's settled in, door locked from others, has her own food and water and still seems to be sitting tight. That sound she makes when the others peek in at her makes me giggle every time. Eggies get switched in the morning. So far so good.
Thought I'd introduce you to Miss Mona.

Momma,
Miss Mona's home looks super nice for her. I am glad that she is away from those nasty girls. She will be a good momma to her sweet little chicks. I agree with you. I absolutely love the sound she makes when you go near her is so funny. She sounds like a dinosaur.
Can't wait to see those little chickies.

Mona is BEAUTIFUL! And so is the nest you've put together for her. I bet she will be VERY happy now. Now I have to wait another 21 days for a hatch!!!!
