I am done for now. We have too many chickens as is, and of my 6 peeps only have a home for 1 roo, so they need to be girls!

HELP!!! The incubator got filled with cold water this morning & is noe hovering right at 91 degrees. One eggs is popped & there is cheeping. What do I do?!?! Will they be okay?? I had to fill it up, there was no water left & humidity was down to 30 percent

I am freaking out & have to leave for work soon. The temp is turned up all the way but I can't leave it like that or I'll cook the little guys while I'm gone. Please, please advise - thanks in advance!!

I would do a quick interchange with the water you need to take eggs out real quick and pour the cold water out replace with warm water and get that temp back to where it was.

6 days to hatch:
Have candled again, and know there are at least 6 for-sures (they practically waved at me! Crazy-cool watching them moving around in there!!!) and two I can't swear to viability, but something is going on in there. My flashlight is not the best, and it wasn't full dark, but they were not clear.
I am no gonna bug this poor little Mamma anymore. What will be will be, and within just days we'll know the outcome, for sure!
This is amazing! Thanks for taking me along on your journeys as well as coming along with me, for mine!

Good luck, Rachel, I'll be thinking about you! Even tho we had a couple very sad losses, I'm still SO glad we did it and cannot wait to do it again.

We returned little Spot to the family tonight. We waited until it was dark and Weezy had put the wee ones to bed. I carried little Spot out there and my bf followed me with a flashlight. I placed Spot down right next to momma, and the firs thing she did was run back to me (MELT!), so I nudged her back toward Weezy. At that point Weezy started in with the broody momma cluck-cluck-cluck to call Spot over, and Spot went right over to her and snuggled under her breast. Way to go, Weezy! Spot's toe is nearly totally healed, so I'm going to get up early early to make sure none of the other chicks are bothering the toe. Cross fingers (and toes)!!
