Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

1 more week. I'm at that super anxious stage. I don't know how I'm going to make it to hatch day without bugging Mama bird every day. I just made her get up to eat and I candled the eggs. Aircells are still bad, of course, those won't heal. 1 looks great though. All have moving chicks in them and I'm soooo excited. I do remember with my last attempt (in the bator) the eggs looked like they still had too much fluid in the small end of the egg. The ones today look very similar to how the others looked when they went into lockdown, so they seem to be right on track. I just love when you candle and you can see the little feet, it is so cool. I sure hope I have a couple little fuzz balls peeping around soon!

Lovin' all the pics! One of the sweetest sights to see is a hen with her babies, IMHO.
