I bought 20 silkie eggs that I planned on incubating because none of my silkies have gone broody yet, then 2 days after I set them on the 3rd one went broody so I pulled 2 out of the bator and put under her. This is my first time trying to hatch with a broody hen. So far I have left her with the rest of the flock, and the weird thing is, my other hens insist on laying in the same box she's in, so I have to go under her and pull out the eggs from under her everyday that I don't want to hatch. Why do they keep doing that? I know I am going to have to move her but I thought she would be fine with the rest of the flock until it got closer to lockdown.
for them, she wants to be a mommy so bad I can tell!!!
