there is no electricity in the sheds, one black chick has just died the rest have been taken away but let 3 with her, they all have bad breathing and are so cold, shes struggling to warm them all because it is freezing here!!

i have two chicks that are with the mom and one is older but so tiny and the younger one is huge idk why but they are cross bred one is with an ee roo and one is with a partridge chantecler roo i can try to get pics if you guys want to see them

Of course we want to see them, I love roos actually.

2 of my 15 chicks died. The rest seem to have bad breathing :/, i wonder if they are too cold because it is freezing here now and she is struggling to cover them, might have to take a few away...

Take them in and brood them, put a heat lamp on them and leave 2 with mom.

Well its getting closer and closer to time!! My hens eggs are due Monday! I get excited every single hatch! I love broodies!

She started with 8, stole one of my silkies and I didnt realize it until a few days after she had sat on it that made it 9 then one of the bantam eggs stopped growing so shes back down to 8. All 8 are coming on strong so far!

We will see when hatch day comes!

the chicks taken off her are happy now they ahve stopped tweeting all the time and have went to sleep, the three left with her are doing good too. Poor girl, if shed just hatched earlier she would be find but its far to cold for young chicks now.
