Old hen not laying

I gave a pair of roller pigeons and they act like they are sitting on eggs but never lay

I had a pair of ring neck doves several years ago build a nest and sat...on nothing. The hen eventually laid a tiny egg with no yolk. These birds were given to me and I was told they were old-I have no idea how old. I had homing pigeons at that time. I took a homer egg and gave it to the ring necks who hatched and raised the squab. Might be interesting to give your rollers an egg just to what they do.

That is good to hear because I bought mine at a poultry sale and mine might be very old. I already put a homer egg under them so at least they can raise homer babies.
