Many of us have had a ton of fun with the monthly BYC Trivia Challenges. Unfortunately a lot of members are unable to participate for a plethora of reasons. Heres a great ongoing game that will allow everyone to participate!
Heres how it works:
1) One person posts an item to hunt for in the forums. Example: "What is the link to the "nesting box" page in the Learning Center?
2) The first person that finds and posts the correct answer (example: https://www.backyardchickens.com/coops/nestingbox.html ) wins a point and gets to post the next item to be hunted... BUT ONLY AFTER the original question poster tells you that your answer was correct!
3) The original question poster has an hour from the time the answer is posted to say if the answer is correct or not. If he/she cannot verify within an hour, ANYBODY can post the next question.
4) If, for instance, the original question poster verifies and the person who got the correct answer doesnt post within an hour, ANYBODY can post the new question.
5) At the end of each month, we'll tally all the points and the member with the most points wins a free 6 month GFM !
Rules:
1) Questions / answers MUST be BYC related and links to BYC
2) To make sure many people get a chance to play, a member can't answer a question a second time until 3 different people have posted questions/answers. So, if you answer a question and get a point and then post your question, you need to wait for 3 others to get points before you can answer another question or else you lose 1 point.
3) To avoid confusion, when posting your answer please also include the question in your post with your answer.
4) Post a new question ONLY AFTER the original question poster confirms that you got the correct answer.
5) Try to think of questions that aren't too easy, but that also aren't too difficult for others to find.
6) To keep the game going and avoid stalls, once you post a question / answer, as much as possible, stay online for at least an hour.
7) We'll review the questions / answers to make sure peeps are following the rules and will award points appropriately.
