I feel the same way. I don't find the 'Alerts' as useful as the other sites system, and often it doesn't alert me to certain threads I'm following. No idea why. I miss being able to comment on a 'Like' as well. And even when I make my photos small on my computer they still turn out enormous if I upload them onto this site. I'm slowly getting used to it but I know what you mean!

We understand change is hard, but based on the feedback and usage of the site, most people definitely like this new site better (overall) than the old one.

If you have very specific examples of what is harder or what could be improved, please let us know! While it's hard to make changes / updates that please every one of our tens-of-thousands of active members, there are some things we can improve on to make things better for every, if not most, of out members.

I just happened to be on the main forum page and saw there was a new post on this thread. Yet I've received no 'Alerts' about any new posts on this thread, despite 'watching' it. I don't understand why and it's not the first time it's happened to me. Am I doing something wrong?

It seems like you only receive alerts for new posts in a thread if you have recently visited said thread.

If you go to your watched threads list you will notice the titles that are in BOLD are the ones that have new posts since you've last visited that thread.
If while viewing your watched threads list, you scroll to the bottom and click show all watched threads..you will notice the BOLD titles versus the "regular" font titles.

Again ..the bold titles have new posts that you have not read.
The regular font titles mean you are all caught up.
