Older chicken passing.

We have an old old rooster who has been slowing down lately and probably isn't going to make it the week at this point. Should we move him out of the run? I am worried most about cannibalism most and don't really know what to do. Thanks

When my chickens get I’ll and close to death, they will sometimes be pecked and bloodied by others. So placing him in a wire dog crate with bedding, food and water, might be best for him. If he can remain in sight of his flock that may be helpful to keep him from being lonely. Sorry about your rooster.
