older hen eating younger hens first egg

I have had two hens for about 9 months they seem to be best friends. I bought 4 new chicks early this spring.One of the older hens shows that she is dominate over the chicks.But they have mostly accepted each other now.The first young hen just started laying,laid her first egg 2 days ago.I have been watching her this morning as she was getting ready to lay again.When I came back she had laid another egg but the older hen that is dominate was eating it.It seemed as if she did it out of spite,but I am not sure because the dominate hen laid her own egg right after and did not eat it.One of the younger hens may have broken they egg out of curiosity and then run off by the older hen i dont know for sure but I am trying to watch closely to fix this problem early before it gets worse.Any suggestions will be greatly appriciated.
