older what is it

Been on here with these a few times as they grew, now they look different yet again.

Last week in October straight run heavy order so about 4 months old now.

I believe this is a EE but is it a roo?

Originally i thought these were both barred rook roos, but now they are different?

ALl the black ones orginally looked the same, now i clearly have some with brown necks, and some with a somewhat metallic green tint to their black, what kind are these two hens in front?

lastly I have one bloody huge roo

The first picture is definitely a roo. Looks like one BR roo in the second picture, but it's hard to tell from that pic what the roo laying down is. Of the two black hens, the first one could be an Australorp and the second one is a black sex-link. I don't know what the last roo is.

IMHO the solid black is an Australorpe and the one with gold neck is Black sexlink . Sandy

3. black australorp or black sex-link (check for brown feathering on the chest) both breeds will have a green tint in the sunlight

Just jumped on here because I'm trying to identify my older hens that I rescued from animal control; they look just like the black sexlinks. But I have a rooster that I raised from a chick, also rescued from animal control, who looks exactly like #6. As a chick he was brown with stripes and looked like a chipmunk. There were 6 chicks along with the mama bird, who was killed

soon after I got her by an errant local dog (mine

). The mama was a nondescript brown sort of penciled color with a big straight tail feathers. One of the other chicks turned out to be a black roo who tried to kill the other one - terrible bloody fight at the age of 16 weeks! - had to cull him because he was so badly injured. The only other chick who survived is a pullet who looks just like the mama - light brown, penciled, tall tail feathers. And broody, already, at only 6 months! Even as we speak she is setting on 6 eggs and is on day 7.

Thought this might help someone figure out what #6 is, I'm dying to know myself!

This "Ameracauna" pullet I just got from Cackle is a chipmunk (though they are listed officially as Ameracauna they state in the description that they are Easter Egger mutts), and if Grandma chicken's chipmunk grew u p to look like #6, must be a good bet its an EE.

And btw-- #1 is GORGEOUS! Love him!

Does that last roo have the green legs? They look more grey in the pics. We had an EE that looked very similar but he had very green legs by 8 months old. He was born chipmunk as well.

Lots of different breeds of chick are born chipmunk colored. I got my Wyandotte chicks recently and 4 of the 5 varieties were different shades of chipmunk.

Your roos (umtallguy and grandmachicken) are partridge colored and several breeds have partridge varieties. If the legs are green, definitely EE but if the legs are a different color you should be looking for other breeds that have partridge colored varieties.

My roo's legs are definitely gray. I think I'll have some pics to post a little later.

I also just got some gold laced wyandotte chicks last week - also chipmunks.
