I have a 36 week old OE, yesterday I noticed when I was putting out treats that she was not really interested in it, what is unusual for her. I also have not gotten an egg from her for a week. She started laying 1/24, layed every other day an egg and now nothing. Poop is normal. She was always on the small side and is on the bottom of the pecking order but now my other chicken seem to peck more on her (usually they get along quite well so seeing one pecking her was unusual fro me) One other change I noticed is that she is not vocal anymore. She was the one I would always hear multiple times a day just being loud. When I picked her up to see if anything unusual is going on I thought she is thin. The only change I can see is that the tip of her comb has some dark edges.
The first 3 pictures are from today, the last one is from 3 weeks ago. I live in the SF Bay Area. We have not had temps below 33.
Any suggestions what is wrong with her?

She looks quite perky.
Check to make sure her crop is empty in the mornings before she eats/drinks.
Just take a couple of days to really observe, is she being kept from food/water. Does she exhibit any broody behavior, etc.
Some pullets take a break from laying, they can start off like gang busters then suddenly stop for a couple of weeks.
Hopefully she is just getting it all sorted out.

Hi there. Sorry your girl is not feeling well. I’m in the SF Bay Area, too (south bay, Santa Cruz mountains).

Did she have a first-year molt at all? Have you seen any of her feathers laying around?

What do you feed them? Have you seen any soft shelled eggs?

I agree, if she is thin and low in the pecking order, you need to determine if she’s being bullied off feed (and water). I had a copy low ranked girls who were getting thin and now keep several feeders and waterers. It’s more work to clean them up each night, but so worth it, as nobody goes hungry.

She looks to be in really great shape, but I can’t tell what the black tips are on her comb. I agree frostbite in the bay area is unlikely.

I feed them scratch and peck layer feed plus some extra meal worms and some random food scraps. No sign of molting from either of my girls. I have 2 feeders for 5 chicken and even though she is low in the pecking order the others don’t guard them so she is able to get to food. Today I gave them meal worms and try to separate them and she wasn’t really interested in them although the others were on the other side and not bothering her. No soft shell eggs or anything unusual just her behavior (and that of the others all in a sudden picking on her like they sense her change) loss of appetite and those dark spots on her comb. My gut tells me something wrong.

Yes, I’m sorry to say that if the others are suddenly picking on her, they are sending illness. Can you provide a direct dose of poultry vitamins?

I suspect a reproductive problem. Do you know when she last laid an egg? Do you supply oyster shell on the side?

Last egg was 6 days ago. I have given them crushed baked / sterilized egg shells instead of oyster shells at the moment. I would have to look into poultry vitamins as I have not supplemented any before and first would have to get some

Sorry, I meant sensing illness. Darn autocorrect. Has she molted this year? Mine all tend to get thin and act like they don’t feel well when molting.
She is only 36 weeks old I don’t think she will be molting before the fall but I might be wrong. At the moment she has not lost any feathers

I agree I would check her crop first and foremost. Make sure it is flat and empty in the morning before access to any food or water. If the others are pecking on her I would separate her in a crate within the coop so she remains part of the flock. It will allow you to monitor her more closely also. Perhaps boil up some egg for her as a treat, or some tuna or plain yogurt. It could help give her a little boost when you have no poultry vitamins on hand.
I would also pick her up and give her a good once over. Check she has no pecking injuries to her skin, check for signs of lice/mites, and check her feet for any scrapes/scratches. The poor girl looks a little lost.

Can you examine her for any bloat or fluid in the abdomen? Feel inside the vent for an egg?
Photos of her poop may be helpful as well.
Have you noticed if she is only picking and choosing certain bits of the scratch and peck feed instead of eating all of it? Loose feed like that, some birds do not get a well balanced "meal". I agree with @micstrachan try some poultry vitamins for a couple of days.
Again, check the crop first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks.
