These have just hatched today so its not a very good pic. I will add more in a day or two. I have one more I hope will hatch tomorrow. Hard to tell in the pic but there are 4 so far, and I only set 5 eggs. I put the other in a day later than the others. These chicks are from a Black copper marans rooster over an Easter Egger hen.

2 Days Old :

These are the only 4 that hatched from the 5 eggs I set. The other turned out to be infertile.

Are Olive Eggers feather sexable?

I tried to feather sex these. I think i have 2 pullets with pea combs and 2 roosters. 1 with pea comb and 1 straight comb.

1 Week Old :
I feather sexed these chicks at day old and suspect this one to be a pullet. At a week old her and the other have way more feathers than the other 2 that I suspect to be roos. What do you think?

All have lightly feathered legs

This one is one of the suspected roos. See the feathering difference. What do you think about this one?

Same as above

I wonder how they will look feathered out. I imagine they will be mostly black ,but see the white wing feathers?

2 Weeks Old :

What do you think about this comb? Roo?

More Coming Soon!
Follow me and check back weekly, comments are welcome

Haven't kept up with the weekly pics but I will keep posting pics.
Ended up with 2 hens outta the 4.

Around 8 weeks old :

As you can see in the pic, one is solid black and one is a light gray (blue) color. Both are very friendly.

Finally got an olive egg! One of my 2 OE laid her first egg today. I'm surprised at the size of her first one! Here is one next to one from one of my easter egger.
