Olive Egger- what gender and type?

Hello fellow chicken lovers! I haven’t heard a crow from this 6-8 week old “olive Egger” and would love to know if anyone knows the breed and thoughts on gender! Thank you!!!!

It sounds like you already know the breed since you say it's an olive egger. I would guess it has some cream legbar parentage.

At six to eight weeks old with that much comb, it's a cockerel for sure.

Cockerel? Are those hackle feathers?
Feathered legs points to Marans
Crest and pattern leaking through points to crested cream legbar.
My brain would say Marans rooster over CCL which would produce olive egger sex links. Males being barred and females being not barred as your bird is.
My eyes are thinking looks like a cockerel.
Maybe a Marans X CCL offspring bred back to a marans

I think you’re right! I don’t know the cross so I was wondering if anyone has seen it before and might know. Hopefully he will make some lovely offspring if one of my hens gets broody!
