I have an olive egger that is laying brown-ish eggs with an almost purple bloom. Would she still be considered an olive egger?? Maybe a mistake? Once I get another egg from her I'll post a photo as we just aquired her a couple of days ago.

Haha yes it is a super pretty color! I will post pics as soon as she lays another. She just started so it's a bit spotty yet but I will be sure to! Here is Ash after we just got her-the one laying them. She's equally as pretty. Just curious on if she is an actual olive egger. I guess she could be and just laying a different color!

OEs don't always lay olive, despite the name. Where did you source her from? Depending on the parents (i.e. OE x OE I think) you'd have a chance at brown eggs.
I got her from my sister in law ☺️ she was doing a flock thinning. I'm not sure where she got her from but I can mist definitely ask! I do believe your right. After I posted this I looked at similar threads stating the same thing. Regardless they are pretty eggs so I'm not complaining 😊 Just wanting to make sure she is an OE for my own knowledge lol.
