Olive or Oliver Easter Egger?

Looks like a Speckled Sussex to me  . Does it have a single comb?? If it is a Sussex, it'll lay brown eggs. If it's a EE, it'll lay blue/green.
I’m not sure about the comb just yet. There’s a photo of it in my original post. It’s starting to develop, but I can’t tell what it would be.
I'm enjoying the “what can she be” guesses though 👍😁

I know it's an odd question but what color are the legs? (I'm no chicke expert to start with) but my easter eggers and my Americana hens and my olive Egger rooster all have a dark greenish color on the legs

This is true and pretty typical.

but did you know for instance that if you cross this Frost White Legbar and a Leghorn you will get an EE with none of the characteristics like green legs, muffs etc?

And if you breed them instead to a Barred Rock or a Buff Orpington now you have an Olive Egger? This is why using tertiary characteristics to describe EE/OE etc is a very risky business.

I bought mine this way. Have not hatched any myself. Like I said I'm no chicken expert I was juat stating how mine were. I am still learning myself and guess from this point on I'll juatbstay to myself

no need to do that. My only point is that muffs, green legs, etc are not indicative of an EE although people often want them to be. they are exceedingly likely in hatchery EE because that
Is indicative of the breeds they use to create a consistent EE hatch. But you could create an EE that looked like a Partridge Plymouth Rock if you tried hard enough (probably not that hard).

She has white legs. From what I am reading, I’ll never know exactly what breed/type she is, which is fine. I was just curious because our young son is interested in the breeds.
Nothing like seeing chickens at a local nursery and your youngin says “look at their leghorns!” Proud parent moment right there 😁

So is Olive’s companion also a girl? I figured it was too early to tell, but y'all seem on point with sexing Chicks here! She is the younger one behind Olive. Her name is Hershey (we live near Hershey, Pa) and I was told she was also an “Easter Egger”

Coming back to this thread as someone just posted an awesome example elsewhere.
This is an EE that most people would misidentify as a red sex link or some other “breed”. Note the face, legs, etc.
