No fingers lost and the coop is still under construction, so cross your fingers that they keep theirs. The framing is done and the roof is on. They may not be conventional carpenters but they are actually getting the coop done.
And I love my hubby even more for all the hard work he is doing and like the other two a lot guys a lot more too.

That's an awesome photo.

I'm a computer nerd/geek, but I'm also a full time farmer, so. . . Me building a coop (or anything wooden) is kinda the norm.

Great job guys..... BUT! someone tell the guy with the tools to put some shoes on! Eeeek! Guarantee nothing will take the fun out of coop building like a trip to the ER..
We will be waiting for further photo updates....

WOW!!!!! that is out right scary.
As a contractor by trade, I can just ask yall to be careful, and pray for your safety.

and for the record that is a miter saw. Yall will really impress me if you can hang a table saw up there.....never mind don't try that. LOL..

Good luck and be safe.

My geek hubby would spend 6 months working on the plans in CAD, then would have to do soil testing to determine compaction and drainage speeds, then redo the plans because he didn't consider the heavy clay soil. A year later he'd be discussing the toxicity of treated wood vs the decay rate of non treated on several chat sites. 2 years later he'd be arranging excel spreadsheets of the genetics of his chicken breeding program for chickens he did own yet. He still wouldn't have bough the first stick of wood.

That why I build the coops.

Computer Geeks...

1. Not everyone gets to be an astronaut when they grow up...

2. It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others...

3. A few harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction...

4. The journey of a thousand miles sometimes ends very, very badly..
