Most hunters who run coyotes with dogs, hound hunters, run them with Fox hounds- running hounds as opposed to treeing hounds- treeing walkers, english, blueticks, black and tans, etc (all different and distinct breeds of coonhound) Typically treeing hounds are used for raccoons, bobcats, cougars, bear, but do make fine coyote and fox dogs from time to time. Then there are Plott hounds, Curs, etc that are used to run game with hounds, but for the most part July hounds and running walkers are used for yotes and thier different strains as well as curs and plotts among others, though most any scent hound can be trained to run yotes. I know some folks that use beagles and beagle foxhound mixes to run yotes and fox as well as some folks that use sight hounds- greyhounds and thier kind to run them by sight in the midwest and western states. More info than you need for sure, but there it is. Good luck, Keystonepaul
