OMG! day 20!!! eight have hatched! PICS soon...

Good job, no remember that from pip to hatch could be 24 or more hours. Do not help it, or open up the hatch. Many folks when they first hatch a chick, go in and "hatch" it for the chick. They sometimes don't have the yolk absorbed and die. So just be patient. This is the hardest part of hatching, IMHO.

I wouldnt worry to much, I somehow always have early hatches, dont think I've ever had mine to start hatching on day 21. I use an LG still air also. I'm on day 19 myself now and I've got pips and eggs rolling. I try and keep my digital themometer at 99 degrees and the ones that came with it usually run 2-3 degrees higher, but I've heard your suposed to keep the temps at 102 in a still air. So Idk what I do wrong, but I've always had decent hatch rates and healthy chicks. So I wouldn't worry to bad..

The chick will be just fine - no, the wire will not hurt her little feet. It's nerve wracking becoming a chickie mama isn't it LOL

ok so now another has hatched!!! 2 out of 19 eggs and its only day 19!!!!!!

leave them in there til everything that is going to hatch is hatched. a chick can go 3 days in the incubator before it needs anything
