I think he is absolutely adorable and I just wanted to say congrats to you for keeping him! I have lots of a special needs chickens (and get more each year from the feed store) and each one of them that survives adds to my life. I also try to give them the best life possible considering their condition. It's not easy and not for everyone to do, but for me, it's always been a great experience. Good job! (makes me want a duck now, lol)

Awe! I'm sooo glad you kept "him"! Looks adorable, it's just such a touch of the heart when a "crippled" animal enjoys itself...
Best of Luck!

Awwwwww.... *sniff* love your story about Claire...

Re: the OP, oh please don't name the duckie anything that mocks his disability! It is totally my pet peeve when people do this. Name him something you like, or something positive, exactly like any other pet since he has feelings and dignity too!

How about Bill or Sunny or ......um I can't think of any more....

I think the suggestion someone made of Braille would be cute. It represents your ducky and sounds kinda pretty, especially a little girl. I don't think this would be making fun of your ducky as I don't like that either. Anything you pick will be great because it is obvious that you love him/her greatly. I can't help but mention yet again that you are awesome to be willing to do this. Some wouldn't.

He/she is first a duck...that can't see. Not a blind-duck. All God creature are his creatures first and foremost. With given attributes to follow. It sounds like you two have agreed on this path. I wish you luck.
